Subject: COVID-19 Update
The Louisiana Board of Drug and Device Distributors is closely monitoring the ongoing spread and impact of the novel COVID-19 “coronavirus”. The Board’s administrative office staff is prepared to assist applicants and licensees during this time. In accordance with the Public Health Emergency declared by the Governor of Louisiana, any required deadline is being extended by thirty (30) days.
Applicants and licensees will still be required to follow all Louisiana laws and regulations although some requirements MAY be excused based on a case by case review, if the Board office is unable to continue normal operations (which is not currently anticipated at this time).
The main priority of this office during this outbreak is to ensure that the supply chain is protected and that the citizens of Louisiana are able to receive any and all of the Rx drugs and medical devices they would require.
As the effects of the outbreak change, the Board office will issue further guidance. We thank you for the role you play in ensuring the safety and security of the pharmaceutical and device supply chain in Louisiana.
